Unity In Diversity

Diversity Leads to Unity Over the years through my understanding of Nature, Business, Philosophy and my own life's circumstances, I came to an interesting conclusion that Diversity in all areas is the essence of a harmonious living. A living being that not only sustains, but thrives. The term diversity means a varied surrounding with differences in each and every component that ultimately forms the unified model or picture. Let us visualize a grand orchestral recitation; a melodious composition can only be produced by the synchronization of diverse instruments very often originating from different countries coming together. Similarly when we pay close attention to the various life forms and how they all play a pivotal role in the functioning of the universe we will see how diversity ultimately leads to Unity. From the study of the Macro cosmos to the Micro cosmos, diversity can be observed at all levels. When we take the human body as a single functioning Unit, we can...

The Missing Link In Education

Image
The Choice Of Education Let us for a moment imagine your child seeking your help to “Make A Rainbow”. And let me try to guess the outcomes. 60% of you'll may guide him to do a drawing or a craft depicting a rainbow 30% of you'll may guide him to use light prism with the hero of a water bat mirror etc. But what I do hope is there will be some exceptions who may help the child to make a real rainbow, outdoors, with the help of a water jet sprayed towards the sun over a still water body. As a parent myself, the above percentage is a matter of concern about the future of our children. We make thousands of decisions in the hope that it will result in a future for children that is full of truth, beauty, justice and goodness. But one such important choice we have to make is about their education and developing their grey cells through it. The choice of schooling for my son made me reflect on the education I received as a child and observed that not much has chang...

It was published in October 2018 by Mckinsey & Company and written by Aaron De Smet, Michael Lurie, Andrew St George. I quote one of the paragraphs here “Now, it might be appropriate to explore a new language of leadership: the leader as visionary, architect, coach, and catalyst. For organizations seen as living organisms, the appropriate metaphor might be for the leader to be a gardener — a creative guide and steward who has a nurturing role and a variety of relations with different parts of a garden. For instance, as a gardener, the agile leader might pay attention to creating the fertile soil and environment that will enable growth and creativity to flourish.” I have been researching on the subject of natural farming and recently did a course at Bhaskar Save’s farm Kalpavruksha ...
